That morning was a rush. George told me that the hostel offers a trip to Cu Chi Tunnel (apparently is famous in hcmc) is a cost of $10 only. So, I decided that I will there. Without advanced booking, I walked to the tour counter and asked if there was any vacancy left for the 815pm tour at 810am (I overslept >.< thanks to Rafael and George who made me drank so much). I guess I am just lucky to get the last placement for the tour. The bus was literally full that I told they will ask the last one who registered to go down the bus. tsk tsk. So, my journey to Cu Chi Tunnel began.
Like what tour always does, we first went to a ceramic factory to see and buy some handicrafts that are done by physically disabled person. Most of them have to use wheelchairs. :( They are so talented. But too bad, I have no budget in buying and also it is too much of hassle to carry the handicraft.

Spot the wheelchair on the bottom left corner? |

So, journey continued and I reached the place. Cu Chi Tunnel is 250km and it was built by Vietkhong (local fighters) to fight against the American soldiers in 1970 plus. Vkhong lived in the tunnel for 20 years and you just can't believe how much determination they need to stay underground. So grateful for the life we have now after seeing that. I tried crawlin in the tunnel as well. It is so small that one friend I met in the tour, Tim, an Australian surfer can't crawl through it.

Small entrance hole into the tunnel |
The entrance of the tunnel is just only 30cm to 60cm big. Now you can imagine why some westerners can't crawl inside it. Apparently they built it this small to prevent American soldier to crawl through (They said Americans have a big ass, no offence to Americans, :D)

And last the most exciting part of the joirney, we got to shoot! You can choose what weapons you like. I chose AK-47 with a cost of around USD18 for 10 shots. It was pretty fun but I couldn't even hit the target once, how lame! :( But anyway, the experience that counts! haha

Don't look at my singlet, I didn't get to change because I was late, in fact, I never even brushed my teeth that morning, so forgive me on that, I did drink a lot of water! okay? :D |
After the trip, back to hostel around 330pm, ate noodles with a stranger, Pete, that I randomly met in the restaurant. In foreign country, as long as you speak english, you can basically go up to any white people and they will definitely welcome you to join them, I meant that. :D
That night, I saw a group of NUS exhange students and I know this girl, Ewa (met her in my best friend, Shaniya's birthday party) and we talked for a while. Never joind them for dinner which I wished I had. But this made me met this Croatian guy, Niksa, who couldn't decde if he wants to go Cambodia. haha, pretty random huh? and after having 2 bottles with him, I was to sleepy and get off to sleep. haha, that's all for the day and I bought my air ticket to hanoi for the next day. So, Hanoi, I am coming! :D
SO MUCH ALCOHOL!
